Here is a listing of positions currently available, along with descriptions. The School of Arts and Sciences is our traditional program on the main campus in Montreat, and the School of Professional and Adult Studies is our accelerated adult student program with locations throughout North Carolina.


Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research — Montreat, NC — Montreat College seeks a qualified candidate to serve as Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research. This full-time position is key to assessing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators for the campus.

Special Assistant to the President – Charlotte, NC —  The Special Assistant to the President reports through the Vice President for Enrollment Management and serves as the liaison for Montreat leadership, influencers of high school students and parents, and other targeted audiences articulating the college’s values, messages, and plans.

Database Administrator — Montreat, NC — The Database Administrator works under the direction of the Director of Technology and is responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the Montreat College database environment including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft Access.

Graphic Designer — Montreat, NC — The primary responsibility of the Graphic Designer is to communicate the Montreat College brand visually across all print and digital projects. 

International Development Coordinator — Montreat, NC — The International Development Coordinator serves the president as the project manager for Montreat College’s entry strategy into China.

Program Director of Clinical Mental Health Counseling –Charlotte, NC — The Program Director will provide vision for the future of the program, oversight to curriculum, licensure requirements and accreditation standards. 

Admissions Representative – Charlotte Campus – Charlotte, NC — The Admissions Representative is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of prospective adult students into the School of Adult & Professional Studies programs at Montreat College.  

Program Director of Adult Business Programs and Professor of Management and Leadership — Charlotte, NC — Program director will serve graduate and undergraduate business programs in the School of Professional and Adult Studies.

Web Communications Specialist — Montreat, NC — Web Communications Specialist will serve as the manager of all college websites and collaborate with the other members of the marketing and communications team to ensure that the college’s online presence is dynamic, up-to-date, and effective in order to support and advance the college’s enrollment efforts.

Adjunct Faculty —  Asheville, Charlotte, Morganton, Durham, Rocky Mount, and/or Online — Adjunct faculty teaching opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate programs. 

Clinical Mental Health Counseling – Assistant or Associate Professor – Asheville, NC — Montreat College is currently seeking to fill a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position for the Masters of Arts degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) in the Adult & Graduate Studies program.
