At Montreat College, we care about our country’s servicemembers.
That is why we want to help you take the next step in the pursuit of your educational goals. Benefits for current and former service members and eligible dependents are available to help offset the cost of education.

- Military Tuition Discount (School of Adult and Graduate Studies)
- Yellow Ribbon Program for Undergraduate Students (School of Arts and Sciences)
Veterans and Eligible Dependents
The VA School Certifying Official (SCO), located in the Registrar’s Office, works with the Veterans Administration (VA) to administer the education benefit programs to veterans, eligible dependents of veterans, and servicemembers. The SCO certifies enrollment, based on number of credits, length of courses, and type of courses (residential or distance learning). The certification is then sent to the VA for payment.
Details on the certification process can be found on the VA Benefits page.
