Below is a listing of positions currently available at Montreat College, along with descriptions. The School of Arts and Sciences is our traditional program on the main campus in Montreat, North Carolina. The School of Adult and Graduate Studies is our adult student program with locations throughout North Carolina.


IT Developer— Montreat, NC — The IT Developer is a full-time twelve-month position that works in conjunction with the Database Administrator to perform analysis, design, modification, development, integration, testing, and documentation of Montreat College’s software solutions including but not limited to: Salesforce, Jenzabar One, LMS systems and PowerFAIDS.

Coordinator of Faculty and Curriculum Services — Asheville, NC — The Coordinator of Faculty & Curriculum Services provides administrative support for all School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) faculty and curricular needs.

Admissions Counselor for Adult & Graduate Studies — Asheville, NC — The Admissions Counselor is responsible for creating a distinctively positive experience for prospective students such that appropriate students recognize and respond to the benefits of enrolling at Montreat College.

Director of Residence Life — Montreat, NC — The Director of Residence Life leads the residential student experience through provision of healthy, Christ-centered living environments that promote intentional community devoted to the holistic growth of each student. This role plays a critical part  in the supervision of the Residence Life team,  management of the multiple site locations and residential programs, and supporting the onboarding of new students.

Graduate Assistant for The Montreat Experience — Montreat, NC — The Graduate Assistant for The Montreat Experience will assist the Associate Dean for Learning, Calling, and Career, the Career Development Specialist, and other campus partners in the launch and management of The Montreat Experience, a program centered on students’ experiential learning gained through campus co-curricular involvement, and development of skills and characteristics desired by employers. The graduate assistant is expected to affirm, model, and cultivate the Christ-centered mission of Montreat College.

Security Officer — Montreat, NC — This role will function to support the mission of the Campus Safety Department by performing routine security duties as well as serving the needs of the students in implementing and/or supporting the shuttle schedule between various campus residencies.

Administrative Assistant for VP for Academic Affairs — Montreat, NC — The Administrative Assistant for VP for Academic Affairs assists with the daily operations of the Office of Academic Affairs.

Alumni and Parent Relations Director — Montreat, NC — Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this employee will develop a strategic and comprehensive alumni and parent relations program to include strengthening the Alumni Leadership Council, creating a Parent Advisory Council, and growing our network of engaged parents and alumni.

Head Volleyball Coach — Montreat, NC — The Head Coach is responsible for the recruitment, retention and academic success of student athletes.  The Head Coach is expected to affirm, model, and cultivate the Christ-centered mission of Montreat College and the Athletic Department.  In addition to coaching, this position maintains control and oversight of budgets and scheduling of athletic contests. The Head Coach will be responsible to maintain compliance with all NAIA, AAC, and Montreat College rules and regulations.

Faculty-Staff Director of the Montreat Team and Leadership Center (TLC) — Montreat, NC — Full-time staff-faculty position, with a 50% assignment as Director of the TLC and a 50% assignment (12 faculty credit hours) teaching in Outdoor Recreation Studies. The position reports to the Chair of Studies in Education and Outdoor Recreation, though all matters pertaining to faculty performance will be coordinated between the VPAA, the Director of the Faculty of Science and Human Services, the Chair, and appropriate faculty committees.

Coordinator of Program and Curriculum Services — Asheville, NC — The Part-time Coordinator of Program and Curriculum Services provides administrative support in the School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS). Duties include providing administrative support for the Associate Dean for AGS, facilitating program and curriculum creation and updates, coordinating program assessment and professional accreditation activities, and providing general support of AGS program and curriculum processes.

Director of Keystone Scholarship — Montreat, NC –The Director of Keystone Scholarship will manage a portfolio of 60-100 Keystone Scholarship donors through the Moves Management process.

Content Marketing Specialist – Carolina Cyber Center— Remote or Montreat, NC — The Content Marketing Specialist will be required to research and define desired target audiences, manage the content creation and publishing process, and monitor prospective student, customer, and content metrics.


Cybersecurity Instructor — Atlanta, GA — The Carolina Cyber Center (C3) of Montreat College seeks a candidate to serve as the lead instructor for live, in-person IT and cybersecurity education and leadership courses. This position will support C3 training and workforce development programs in partnership with the City of Refuge based out of the Vine City area of Atlanta, Georgia.

Resource Outreach Librarian — Montreat, NC —  The Resource Outreach Librarian is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of the library instruction program, for the provision of reference and interlibrary loan services to all constituents of Montreat College, for assisting in managing student workers, and for assisting in management of electronic resources.

AGS Assistant Professor of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy — Online —  Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the area of Psychology.

Assistant Professor of Natural Science — Montreat, NC — Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member to join a growing and dynamic team in the Department of Natural and Health Sciences. Montreat College’s enrollment has increased rapidly in recent years, and the college has identified the natural and health sciences as a pillar in the strategic plan for future growth of Montreat.

AGS Assistant Professor of Speech Language Pathology — Online — Montreat College School of Adult and Graduate Studies seeks a full-time faculty member in the area of Speech Language Pathology.

Assistant Professor of Business —  Montreat, NC — The School of Arts and Sciences at Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the Business Department to join a growing and dynamic faculty team. Montreat College’s enrollment has grown rapidly in recent years, and Business students currently constitute one of the largest majors on campus. This faculty member will teach introductory and upper-level courses in Marketing.

Assistant Professor of English — Montreat, NC — The English Department of Montreat College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of English. The applicant should be well equipped to teach first- and second-year writing, literature surveys, and Business Communication courses.

Assistant Professor of Psychology and Human Services — Montreat, NC — The School of Arts and Sciences at Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the Psychology and Human Services Department to join a growing and dynamic faculty team.

Cybersecurity Competition Coach – Part-time — Montreat, NC — The candidate will be responsible for coaching and recruiting for cybersecurity competition teams, such as the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC), National Cyber League (NCL), CyberForce, and local CTFs with College and High School Students.
