Below is a listing of positions currently available at Montreat College, along with descriptions. The School of Arts and Sciences is our traditional program on the main campus in Montreat, North Carolina. The School of Adult and Graduate Studies offers undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs in a classroom or online.

Staff Positions

Graduate Assistant: Cheer/Dance Coach — Montreat, NC — The Cheer/Dance Coach (G.A.) will lead all aspects of a competitive cheer/dance program and is responsible for, but not limited to the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention, and academic success of student-athletes.

Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach — Montreat, NC — The Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach will oversee all aspects of the women’s lacrosse program and is responsible for, but not limited to: integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention and academic success of the student-athletes. In addition to coaching, this position requires control and oversight of budgets and scheduling of athletic practices and competitions.

Director of Government Grants — Montreat, NC — Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this senior employee will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive government grant solicitation and government grant management program that aligns with the college’s mission and strategic plan.

Admissions Event & Visit Coordinator — Montreat, NC — Design, plan, execute, and evaluate all admissions visit events and personal campus visits. Ensure an excellent campus visit experience for prospective students, families, and influencers leading to increased new student enrollment at the college. Coordinate the execution of the communication flow to prospective students and parents.

Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf — Montreat, NC — The Graduate Assistant Men’s and Women’s Golf will assist in all aspects of a competitive golf program and is responsible for, but not limited to: the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention and academic success of student-athletes. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in college golf and recruiting; strong people skills; Experience in player development and strength and conditioning is preferred.

Head Softball Coach — Montreat, NC — The Head Softball Coach will oversee all aspects of the softball program and is responsible for integration of Christian faith and the recruitment, retention and academic success of the student-athletes.  In addition to coaching, this position requires control and oversight of budgets and scheduling of athletic practices and competitions.  The Coach will be responsible to maintain compliance with all Montreat College, Appalachian Athletic Conference, and NAIA rules and regulations.

Head Tennis Coach — Montreat, NC — The Head Tennis Coach is to oversee the successful operation of both the men’s and women’s tennis program, in areas such as but not limited to recruiting mission-fit and academically prepared student athletes, retention, spiritual leadership, scheduling practices, and community-engagement opportunities. The Head Tennis Coach will have a clear understanding of all Montreat College, NAIA, and AAC policies and procedures.

Athletic Trainer — Montreat, NC — The AT will assist in all aspects of athletic training and is responsible for, but not limited to leadership in multiple aspects of time management, including budgeting, and facilities management. This position will be responsible to maintain compliance with all Montreat College, Appalachian Athletic Conference, and NAIA rules and regulations.

TLC Lead Facilitator — Montreat, NC — A Lead Facilitator (LF) is responsible for the normal operations on the challenge course. With help from assistant facilitators, the LF directs client groups through challenge course elements, knows the expressed needs of the group, & conducts a plan to meet their needs.

TLC Assistant Facilitator — Montreat, NC — An assistant facilitator (AF) is responsible for assisting the Lead facilitator (LF) with the normal operations on the challenge course. The AF assists during emergency operations as needed. He/she may work with portions of the group independent of the LF but is under direction of the LF at all times.

Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach — Montreat, NC — The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach will assist in all aspects of a competitive women’s basketball program and is responsible for, but not limited to: the integration of Christian faith, and the recruitment, retention and academic success of student-athletes.

Director of Counseling Services — Montreat, NC — Within the scope of the counseling license, this position will provide counseling for individual students and or couples/groups as needed. 

Shuttle Driver — Montreat, NC — Serve as a shuttle driver for transporting students to and from the Black Mountain campus with positive, timely, professional, customer service. Shuttle service may include weekday, weekend, and/or on-demand as needed shifts depending on need. This position is part-time.

Director of Annual Giving — Montreat, NC — Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this employee will steward and grow a portfolio of mid-level donors, maintaining contact primarily by phone, email, video calls, and in-person meetings when advisable. This person will lead the implementation for the college’s annual fund.

Faculty Positions

Cybersecurity Competition Coach – Part-time — Montreat, NC — The candidate will be responsible for coaching and recruiting for cybersecurity competition teams, such as the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NCCDC), National Cyber League (NCL), CyberForce, and local CTFs with College and High School Students.

Assistant Professor of Psychology and Human Services — Montreat, NC — The School of Arts and Sciences at Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the Psychology and Human Services Department.

Adjunct Faculty in the School of Arts & Sciences — Montreat, NC — Adjunct faculty teaching opportunities for undergraduate programs on the Montreat College campus.

Online Adjunct Faculty in the School for Adult and Graduate Studies — Online — Adjunct faculty teaching opportunities are available for undergraduate and graduate programs.

Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity — Montreat, NC — The School of Arts and Sciences at Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the Cybersecurity Department to join a growing and dynamic faculty team.

Assistant Professor of Humanities (Bible-Writing-Faith Integration) — Montreat, NC — Montreat College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Humanities to serve the History, Language, and Literature department, as well as the Bible, Theology, and Ministry department.
