Campus Parking
Montreat College’s parking policies seeks to provide safe and organized parking options for the growing number of students, faculty, staff and visitors. All members of the Montreat College community are expected to understand and follow campus parking policies. Parking policies must be adhered to from August 19-May 7. Failure to park in appropriate locations between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. may result in fines, which will be issued to any person who fails to follow the policy.

How can I acquire a parking pass?
All employees and students who wish to have a vehicle on campus must register their vehicle with Student Life.
With limited parking on the Montreat campus, new students (first-time freshman and transfers in August) will be eligible for the blue parking pass. (Freshman student status is defined by 29 or fewer earned college credits). Should additional gold spaces become available, the Student Life office will maintain a waitlist, and priority will be given to transfer students. The college does provide a shuttle service for students to get to Black Mountain and the Black Mountain campus to access his/her vehicle in the designated Blue parking areas.
Note on the silver pass: If a silver commuter pass holder has a school-sponsored overnight trip, the silver pass holder may park in the Belk parking lot. If ticketed, the student may appeal.
Remember that all cars must be registered.
A shuttle will transport students to and from Ridgecrest student housing and the Black Mountain campus parking locations at regular intervals on an on-call basis. Shuttle phone 828.702.7805

I’m a commuter; what are my parking options?
You should obtain the silver parking pass, which means you should park your car in the silver (commuter) lot. After 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and anytime on weekends, when visiting campus, you may park your car in any Montreat College student parking place.
What hours will the shuttle be running?
It will run a continuous loop during the day between the Montreat campus, Ridgecrest student housing and the Black Mountain campus. Exact times will be posted before school begins.
What if I need shuttle service outside of normal shuttle hours?
