Testing Center Policies
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required to test (Driver’s license, Passport, State ID). A student ID is not considered a valid ID.
- All personal items must be secured in the locker provided by the testing center during testing. This includes hats, jackets, hooded sweatshirts, and outerwear of any type (ie- coats, pullovers, etc.), and digital and analog watches.
- Testing aids prohibited in the test room include (but are not limited to): cell phones, pagers, electronic or photographic devices, pens, calculators, watch calculators, books, notes, rulers, dictionaries.
- No food (including candy) or beverages are permitted in the testing room.
- You may communicate only with Montreat Testing Center staff during testing.
- Visitors are not permitted in the vicinity of the test room during your scheduled test.
- No talking or disruptive behavior is permitted inside the test room.
- You must have the Proctor’s permission to leave the test room.
- Depending upon the exam type, an unscheduled break during test sessions may be permitted. Please wave to the Proctor to indicate your request. When taking an unscheduled break, the exam time will not stop. Repeated or lengthy departures from the testing room may be reported.
- Access to personal items, such as cell phones, backpack / purse, or study materials is not permitted during testing, including during an unscheduled break.
- Depending upon the type of test you are taking, writing materials (such as scratch paper and #2 pencils) will be provided by the Testing Center. Please do not bring paper or a writing utensil with you. If provided, all scratch paper must be signed and returned to the Proctor before leaving the Testing Center.
- Montreat Testing Center staff is authorized to dismiss you from a test session for violation of any test center policies, misconduct, or cheating.
