Explore your Options and Research Job opportunities

You’ve declared a major, but what does that mean for employment? Often we choose a major based on a job we have in mind, but your major opens you up to a plethora of jobs across many industries. If you are interested in learning about all the job opportunities open to you, check out “What Can I do with this major?” We recommend that you grab some paper and a pencil and use this tool to jot down the jobs that sound interesting to you.

Once you have your list of potential jobs, it’s time to do your research. It’s not uncommon for someone to choose a career based on a title, knowing very little about what the job actually entails. Candid Career allows you to “interview” thousands of professionals who are already in the field. These videos will give you more than job descriptions, instead you will get the ins and outs of specific jobs, clueing you in on whether a particular job would be a good fit for you. Check out Candid Career.
