Dr. Scott Foran

Dr. Scott Foran joined the Montreat College faculty in 2022. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Simpson College and a Master of Arts in English at California State University, Chico. At Pacifica Graduate Institute, he completed a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology.  His dissertation, The Shadow Side of Grace: Flannery O’Connor’s Wise Blood as Nekyia, was nominated for a Dissertation Award of Excellence.
