Whether you’re looking for an art exhibition, some white water, or a Nerf game at the Manor House, you can find it here. Montreat is a place where you go to deepen your faith and your smarts—and to broaden your social life.
Get active.
If you like outdoor adventure, then you’re in the right place. Our area is known internationally for its beautiful, rugged setting. (We’re a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts.) But that’s not everything we have going on here—we enjoy good food, good fellowship, good music, and a wide variety of cultural events. Here are a few to get you started.
We’re into music.
So we bring in musicians like Derek Webb, Bill Mallonee, Kellin Watson, and the Urban Sophisticates. You also might appreciate the Firecracker Jazz Band, Randal Goodgame, Andy Osenga, Bebo Norman, the Annie Moses Band, Ellery, and Katie Bowser. The list goes on and on—and spans a wide range of musical genres.
Even more, you can meet and greet our guest artists through Artist Conversations. When a featured artist visits our campus, we typically host these events before the concert. Everyone enjoys this time, and artists often cite this as one of their favorite parts of their visit.
Our goal is to help you discern the positive and negative messages found in all art forms—with a particular emphasis given to music and film in pop culture. And we have fun in the process. We’re also into talent shows, open mic nights, and film festivals. We regularly coordinate King of Hearts, bingo nights, and coffeehouse events. You can raft during the day and wear yourself out completely at a specialty dance that night. Student activities coordinators stay busy, so that you can, too. To learn more, please contact:
