Important Financial Aid Information
FAFSA
To get started, apply for your FSA ID and complete your FAFSA online using your most recent tax return and W-2s.
North Carolina Residents
If you live in North Carolina, you may qualify for the NC Need-Based Scholarship!
- Submit your FAFSA early.
- Complete the Residency Determination Service (RDS) if you’re an undergraduate student. State funding is limited, so apply as soon as possible to maximize your eligibility.
New Federal Loan Borrowers
To receive Federal Student Aid, the following steps are required:
- Entrance Counseling: This process confirms your understanding of the terms and conditions of your loan, as well as your rights and responsibilities.
- Master Promissory Note (MPN): This document confirms your acceptance of a loan.
Paying Your Balance
Check your balance anytime through the Montreat Access Portal and make payments online using your credit card.
Outside Scholarships
Report any scholarships you receive to Student Financial Services so we can factor them into your financial aid package. If your scholarship provider requires a billing statement, we’re happy to help.
