Brenton Benware, former head men’s soccer coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK, has just taken over the head coaching position for the men’s soccer squad at Montreat College.

Christine Mooberry will officially take over the head coaching position for the Montreat College Cavaliers volleyball squad on July 1st. She inherits a team that finished 6th in the Appalachian Athletic Conference last year with a 14-18 overall record and a 7-11 conference record.
Mooberry is new to the Asheville area as she transitions from the Newfane, NY, area where she founded and directed the WNY Stars Volleyball club that has earned a 48-0 record over the last four years. She also served as the head varsity coach for Newfane High School for the last six years. She amassed a 92-12 record there in the last five years as well leading the team to four consecutive Niagara-Orleans League Championships from 2004-2007.
