What’s the Montreat College Commitment?
The Montreat College Commitment is a loan repayment assistance program, or LRAP, and it can help graduates with modest entry-level incomes repay their student loans and loans borrowed by their parents after graduation.
Here’s how it works: Montreat College offers the Montreat College Commitment to eligible incoming students at no cost. The student attends Montreat, possibly borrowing student loans. The student graduates, starts working, and begins repaying their student loans. Graduates earning a modest income qualify for reimbursement of their student loan payments. Depending on their income, they could qualify for up to 100% reimbursement. The Montreat College Commitment assistance continues until the graduate is earning above a certain amount or until the loan balance is paid off entirely.
The assistance the Montreat College Commitment provides is substantial, and for many graduates is truly the help they need to work in entry-level jobs as they start their careers. The Montreat College Commitment is an important investment Montreat is making in the success of students and their ability to fully pursue their passions after graduation.
