Steps to Readmission

  • Submit a Formal Readmit Application – Complete the free online form on the Montreat College website, making sure to select “Readmit” as the Student Type.
  • Update Your Health Records – Provide a completed medical examination report and immunization record. (Find details on our Health Services webpage).
  • Send Your Transcripts – If you’ve taken classes elsewhere, submit official transcripts from each institution attended. A minimum combined GPA of 2.0 is required.

Special Circumstances

  • Academic Probation: Submit a brief essay explaining how you’re prepared for academic success.
  • Academic Suspension: After a one-semester absence, apply with an essay and transcripts showing at least two completed college-level courses (grade “C” or above). An interview or letters of recommendation may be requested.
  • Academic Dishonesty Suspension: You may reapply after two years by submitting an appeal letter to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College.

Before finalizing your readmission, ensure clearance from Financial Services, Student Services, and Athletics (if applicable). If it’s been more than five years since you attended, you’ll follow the process for new students.
