The Natural Resource Management concentration prepares students for graduate studies or careers in government, industry, consulting, education, and non-profit organizations. This program combines academic coursework with extensive field experience, offering a unique opportunity to study the biologically diverse Southern Appalachian ecoregion.

Students learn to apply scientific principles to conservation and resource management challenges, developing practical solutions to contemporary environmental issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. Those pursuing this concentration can choose from one of three specialized emphases.
