High school juniors and seniors can jump-start their college journey through Montreat College’s dual enrollment program. Qualified students can take up to 12 credit hours on campus at a reduced tuition rate, an exceptional value for a Christ-centered education.

How to apply

Getting started is easy! Submit the following:

  • Dual Enrollment Application – Select dual enrollment as the Student Type on our free application.
  • Official High School Transcript – Submit an official copy of the latest transcript from your school.
  • Medical Forms & Immunization Records – Provide a completed medical examination report and immunization record. (Find details on our Health Services webpage).

Once accepted, you’ll receive an email from an admissions counselor with registration instructions.

Log into the MAP portal and select “Billing and Payment.” For assistance, contact Financial Services at financialservices@montreat.edu or 800-545-4656. You can also schedule a virtual appointment.

Dual Enrollment Orientation happens each year in mid-August in Gaither Hall on the Main Campus. Look for an email in June and July with check-in details!

Most general education courses less than 35 students, ensuring an engaging learning environment.

No! Your commuter parking permit is free and will be issued during orientation.

Your textbooks are included in the $100-per-credit-hour tuition! Books can be picked up at the Document Center (Belk Student Center, 2nd floor) about a week before classes start.

Yes! Your free student ID gives you access to athletic events, meal swipes, and CavCash. When picking up your parking pass, get your ID photo taken at the Student Life Office.

Yes! You can buy individual meals through the meal plan portal or pay the guest rate at Howerton Dining Hall.

There are no additional fees; however, some courses may require extra materials (e.g., specific supplies or books).

Yes! Dual enrollment students can participate in select activities, including athletic games, llamas on the Lawn, and more!

Admission Requirements

We welcome students who are ready to thrive! The minimum admission requirement is a 2.75 unweighted GPA.

Applicants below this threshold will be reviewed individually and may receive conditional acceptance.

Conditionally accepted students can take up to 14 credit hours in their first semester and will enroll in “Foundations of Faith and Learning” and “College Success Lab” to set them up for success.
