Location: This position is based in Montreat, North Carolina. Remote or hybrid work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on candidate qualifications.

Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director of Student Financial Services, the Process Coordinator supports the day-to-day processing and compliance functions of the Student Financial Services Office. This role assists with loan certification, disbursement support, reconciliation, quality control, and the accurate maintenance of student financial aid records.
This position does not have the authority to draw down funds from G5, post rosters to accounts, or initiate student refunds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial aid records in PowerFaids to support eligibility, origination, and disbursement.
- Process certification and disbursement activity for federal, state, institutional, VA, and private loan programs.
- Review aid files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and institutional policy.
- Assist with reconciliation, rejected record resolution, and required updates in COD and related systems.
- Support enrollment, credit hour, Pell, and Return of Title IV Funds adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with Student Accounts on term setup and aid coordination in Jenzabar.
- Supply internal reports to support institutional processes and decision-making
- Provide support to students and families regarding aid requirements, timelines, and documentation during peak times.
- Participate in training, process improvement, and audit readiness activities.

- Knowledge of Federal Student Aid programs and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Title IV systems (COD, NSLDS); Jenzabar and PowerFaids preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of one year of financial aid experience required (two years preferred).
Supervision:
This position reports to the Managing Director of Student Financial Services and works under the leadership of the Executive Director of Student Financial Services.
