Michael Halcomb

Dr. Michael Halcomb joined Montreat College in 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Humanities, bringing a wealth of expertise in New Testament studies, Koine Greek, linguistics, language pedagogy, composition, and rhetoric. Over his 14 years of teaching experience, Dr. Halcomb has taught at a range of institutions, including Evangelical Theological College in Ethiopia, the University of Kentucky, Asbury Theological Seminary, Pacific Rim Christian University in Hawai’i, and Bethel University in Indiana.

Interests: Seeking out new information, researching different topics with a Biblical perspective, questioning commonly accepted beliefs, and uncovering God’s truth.

Hobbies: Hiking, Waterfalls, photography, and stand-up comedy
