John G. Doncevic

John Doncevic was the library director at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Geneva College, and Trinity School for Ministry before coming to Montreat College in 2023. He has also served as librarian at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Association of Christian Librarians and the Federalist Society. He passed the bar examination in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey.

What is your favorite thing about working at Montreat?
Being a part of the College’s mission of learning through intellectual inquiry, spiritual formation, and preparation for calling and career

What are your hobbies or interests?
Bicycling in the Appalachians, learning languages, studying the U.S. Constitution, and spending time with family

Do you have a favorite restaurant in the area?
Ole’s Guacamoles (¡Por supuesto que sí!)

What is your favorite thing to do or see in the area?
Visiting Asheville’s vibrant culture and exploring the mountains of Appalachia
