Montreat College is pleased to announce the appointment of Myles Fish as Vice President for Advancement. Fish previously served as the college’s Senior Associate for Major Gifts, where he built strong relationships across the Montreat community and played a key role in securing philanthropic support for the institution’s Christ-centered mission.
A seasoned nonprofit executive, Fish brings decades of leadership experience to his new role. He has held top positions, including Senior Vice President at Prison Fellowship Ministries, where he led the growth of their Angel Tree program. In addition, as President and CEO at International Aid, he oversaw large-scale fundraising and strategic initiatives that advanced global missions.
His background also includes directing development efforts for hospitals and churches, successfully securing major gifts and managing campaigns that transformed institutions. His proven track record in philanthropy, coupled with his passion for relationship building, uniquely positions him to lead Montreat’s advancement team.
“Myles Fish brings an extraordinarily deep understanding of biblical stewardship to this position,” President Paul J. Maurer said. “We are created by God to give of our time, talent, and resources, and Myles has the ability to articulate that at a level which is rarely seen in the world of nonprofit management and leadership.”
In his new role, Fish will provide vision and guidance for Montreat’s fundraising, alumni and parent engagement, and donor relations, ensuring the college is well-positioned to continue advancing its mission in the years ahead. With his leadership, Montreat seeks to deepen connections with alumni and friends while expanding opportunities for students to thrive academically and spiritually.
