If you’re graduating with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Cybersecurity from Wake Tech, you can transfer into Montreat’s Cybersecurity bachelor’s degree program as a junior. National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education / National Security Agency (NSA)
Montreat College is designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Montreat College endorses the North Carolina Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, which can be viewed at www.northcarolina.edu. Transfer students who meet the minimum requirements for admission to Montreat College will receive transfer credit for all eligible courses subject to normal transfer credit policy. Courses will be considered as earned credit but will not affect your GPA or graduation honors.

No more than 66 credit hours can be transferred from a two-year institution. No more than 90 credit hours total can be transferred.

Only work from a regionally accredited school that received a grade of C or better will be accepted in transfer. Official transcripts must be received in order to receive transfer credit.

Credits from regionally accredited institutions will be considered for Montreat transfer credits, provided that the transferred course is considered within the general framework of the liberal arts curriculum.

Only courses that are academic in nature will be accepted in transfer. For information about vocational training courses, see “Conditions of Acceptance of Transfer Credit” in the Academic Catalog.

To ensure your transition to Montreat is as smooth as possible, use the checklist below:

All transfer applicants must submit:

  • An application for admission.
  • Official Transcripts* — We require an official transcript from all post-secondary institutions previously attended. Transcripts should be emailed to agsadmissions@montreat.edu or mailed to Montreat College Registrar’s Office, Box 896, P.O. Box 1267, Montreat, NC 28757

Students in their first semester of college must submit an official high school transcript.*

*Admissions decisions may be made based on unofficial transcript(s). However, all required final, official transcripts must be received by the end of the first semester pursued at Montreat College.

Standard admission requirements include: 2.0 (C) minimum GPA

Students who do not meet these standards will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. These students will be limited to enrollment in 14 semester credit hours for their first semester.
