Ashley Lippard

Professor Ashley Lippard joined the Montreat College faculty in 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Visual Communication and Design. Before coming to Montreat, she taught for thirteen years in the Art and Design program at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. She started her design career at VSA Partners in Chicago, designing for clients like IBM, Nike, Brand Jordan, American Express, and in 2000, she created the Cingular logo. She has owned her design firm, Ashley Lippard Design, for 17 years. In her 23 years as a designer, she has received numerous awards from the design community.

Her research interests are centered around social media experiences and the implications of digital relationships. She is a member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and has written articles on Branding for Adobe.

She is from outside Chicago and loves traveling, podcasts, branding and anything beautifully designed. She is married to Caleb and mother to Naomi and Norah. She is currently a member of Redeemer Anglican Church in West Asheville.
