Dr. Isaac Owolabi earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin and his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Following his graduation from the University of Minnesota in 1988, he taught college for two years and served in the academic administration for 12 years. In 2001, he returned to the classroom as a full-time professor. Dr. Owolabi has spent over 25 years teaching in higher education.
Dr. Owolabi’s areas of teaching include marketing, sales management, consumer behavior, and e-commerce. Over the years, he has worked in retail, at academic institutions, and in consulting capacities with educational institutions and businesses. Dr. Owolabi has received awards for his research and has published several articles in addition to the presentation of papers in professional organizations. He has made many presentations to civic organizations, service clubs, and religious organizations. He also coauthored the instructor’s manual for Retail Merchandising, a textbook written by Ernie Risch of Marian College (now Marian University).
Over the years, Dr. Owolabi has been involved in numerous organizations such as Rotary Club International, Toastmaster International, Chambers of Commerce, Marketing Education Association, American Society for Training and Development, and American Vocational Education Research Association, among others. He is married with four children: Isaac II, Mark, Eunice, and Caleb. Dr. Owolabi and his wife enjoy traveling and hiking.
