Food is a big deal. We offer two on-campus dining facilities—one sits on Lake Susan. And we’re the kind of college that delivers sick trays to students by request. (We care.)
Howerton Dining Hall is our main location, and the Huckleberry Café is the casual favorite. Howerton offers multiple entrée options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner—including vegetarian options. It also features a full salad, sandwich, and dessert bar. The Private Dining Room, an enclosed space off of the main dining area, can be reserved for special group meetings and guest speakers.
The Huckleberry Café is located in the Moore Center. It offers free Wi-Fi and fair trade, organic coffee from Black Mountain’s own Dynamite Roasting Company. An open-air porch alongside a scenic creek provides a relaxing space for enjoying a good book or good conversation over coffee.
