Summary

Montreat College seeks a full-time faculty member in the area of Counseling Psychology.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Marriage and Family Therapy and other related areas, with specific courses determined by background and departmental needs. Additional responsibilities include updating curriculum, participating in faculty committees, supporting professional accreditation processes, and other duties as described in the Faculty Handbook. 

Qualifications

A successful candidate will affirm and support the Mission, Vision, and Statement of Faith of Montreat College.

The successful candidate will have a clear counseling identity, and also demonstrate support for Christian education by integrating faith and counseling in a compelling, thoughtful manner. Teaching excellence and a willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work are also expected.

Education/Experience

A Ph.D. in Psychology or related field is required for this position. College-level teaching experience, professional experience in counseling preferred. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or AAMFT Supervisor Candidate status is required.
