Job Opening: Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity

Start Date: August 1, 2023

Montreat College School of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) seeks a full-time faculty member in the area of Cybersecurity. This is a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for teaching online courses in Cybersecurity and other related areas, with specific courses determined by background and departmental needs. Additional responsibilities include updating curriculum, participating in faculty committees, and other duties as described in the Faculty Handbook. 

Qualifications

Successful candidates will affirm and support the Mission, Vision, and Statement of Faith of Montreat College.

Successful candidates will also demonstrate support for Christian liberal arts education and the specific ability to integrate faith and the discipline in a compelling, thoughtful manner.

Teaching excellence and a willingness to serve the broader college community through service and committee work are also expected.

Education/Experience

An earned master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance or Cybersecurity, and related experience in the industry is required. Candidates with industry certifications and online teaching experience are preferred.
