Montreat College will host its sixth annual film festival on Thursday, April 25, in Graham Chapel. The event gives aspiring filmmakers the opportunity to put their talents on display in a competitive showcase.
The college is currently accepting film submissions from local creatives with a deadline of April 21. This year’s theme is “Renewal,” and is open to wide interpretive latitude. A panel of judges will select first, second, and third place films, with a cash prize going to the winner. The student-driven event has grown in popularity over several years, attracting entries from as far as Florida and Virginia Beach as well as Western Carolina. Submissions should be 3-15 minutes in length. Dramas, comedies, documentaries, and music videos are all welcome. Send films in mp4 format to email@example.com.
