Montreat College will celebrate Spring Commencement exercises at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, in Montreat’s Anderson Auditorium. The college welcomes Dr. David Chadwick, senior pastor of Charlotte-based Forest Hills Church and host of the popular radio program “The David Chadwick Show,” as the keynote speaker for commencement.

A native of North Carolina, Dr. David Chadwick graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill where he played basketball and was a member of the 1969 NCAA Final Four basketball team. In addition to his undergraduate degree in communications, Dr. Chadwick earned his graduate degree in counseling from the University of Florida and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Theological Seminary. Dr. Chadwick has been the pastor of Forest Hill Church since 1980 where worship has grown from 180 to more than 6,000 with campuses located in Ballantyne, Fort Mill, South Park, and Waxhaw—and soon on South Boulevard and in South End/Uptown.
