Montreat College announced today that Rev. Dr. William Dudley, executive pastor at ChristChurch Presbyterian in Dalton, Ga., and pastor emeritus at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, Tenn., has re-joined the college’s Board of Trustees. He previously served on the board from 1996-2006 and 2007-2016.

“We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Dudley back to our Board of Trustees,” said Montreat College President Paul J. Maurer. “He has long been a friend and advocate of Montreat College. Having worked with Bill during his previous board service, I know the deep dedication he has for the college’s mission, and I am excited to continue our work together.”

A native of Opelika, Ala., Dr. Dudley earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Columbia Theological Seminary. During 47 years of ministry, he has served as associate pastor and pastor of Memorial Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, Ala., pastor of Newnan Presbyterian Church in Newnan, Ga., and for 25 years as senior pastor of Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

Dr. Dudley was chosen to serve as moderator of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) General Assembly for 2013-2014 and presently serves as chairman of the assembly’s Committee on Administration.

Dr. Dudley and his wife, Jakie, currently live in Signal Mountain, Tenn.
