On November 20 at 7:30 p.m., the Montreat College Theatre program will feature an original romantic-comedy, entitled “Home.” The staged reading and workshop production will take place at the Hamilton Art Gallery, located inside the Bell Library on the Montreat campus.  A cast of Montreat students will perform the piece, written by Dr. Jim Shores, associate professor of communication and environmental studies.

“Home” is a tale of coming back to your roots. When established Manhattan fashion photographer Ethan McCabe revisits his humble southern roots, he finds himself in a scenario where he must choose between his Italian supermodel girlfriend and his high school sweetheart.

The principle actors of the play include students Ian McVay, Keely Kalisch, Desiree Duff, Katy Burger and Jessica Strahan. Supporting actors will include Joel Legg, Enmanuel Medrano, Harrison Northey, Rebecca Shaw, Zandi Bosua and Matthew Christiansen

The event is free and open to the public.
