On March 8 and 9, Dr. Rich Gray, English professor, will take students Alyssa Klaus, Laura Davidson, and Aaron Nance to the Blue Ridge Undergraduate Research Conference at Lincoln Memorial University in Cumberland Gap, TN.

Klaus will present on C. S. Lewis’ poetry, Davidson on Emily Dickinson’s poetry, and Nance on John Milton’s epic Paradise Lost.  This is the first time Montreat students have participated in this large, annual event, which covers all the majors, especially the social and natural sciences.

The Montreat College English Department is sponsoring this trip.  The English and humanities faculty have led students on more than six educational experiences of this nature in the last four years, including excursions to UNC-Asheville, Coker College, Meredith College, Oxford, and the Knoxville ACA Summit.
