Montreat College has been a great choice for me. I was homeschooled all the way through high school, so the small class sizes and personal connections to the teachers and staff have been perfect. The teachers and staff take a personal interest in me and help me in ways that they couldn’t do at a larger school. I have branched out and have had the opportunity to meet all kinds of different people without sacrificing the one-on-one attention that I had been given in high school.
Here at Montreat, people care about who you are as a person. It is not just something nice that people say here—it is the truth. They make you feel welcomed, loved, and important. The spirit of community in this place has impacted my life in so many ways.
I’ve had a great education here, but the reason that I have stayed at Montreat is how it has changed my personal life. I have made wonderful, lifelong friends, not only with my fellow classmates, but with the staff as well. I have grown so much spiritually in my time here. I have a greater understanding of how to live “together in unity.” We don’t agree on every topic, but we all respect each other. The love that is felt on campus is something that can’t be faked. I am so blessed to be able to come to a school in such a beautiful part of the country, receive a great education, and grow in my walk with God.
