Student Life

Paul Wasmund, ’12

The community here is amazing. I knew this is where I wanted to be. The beauty of this campus brought me here, and the community has kept me here.

The small class sizes are the biggest plus of being a student at Montreat. Our professors are not only our teachers, but they are also our mentors and our friends. They want us to have the best education we can have, and that is something every professor strives for and every student expects at Montreat. It’s the tight relationships with professors that make coming to Montreat such a great decision.

The Montreat classroom experience is phenomenal. We’re not held to the confines of the classroom. It’s great to just be in a class and have a professor to say, “Hey, let’s go outside today.” And at Montreat, that happens a lot. Our classes are small and personal enough that we can just get up and go. This relaxed nature is really the heart of Montreat.
