This is one of the most gorgeous campuses that I’ve ever been to. Everyone is passionate about their walk with Christ, and people are overwhelmed with the joy of serving people and the joy of worshipping God. We can look outside at the beauty that surrounds the campus and just give God all the credit he deserves for that. That’s probably one of the reasons I chose to come here—it just sang to me.
My time at Montreat has been phenomenal. When I first came here, I thought all I was coming to get was an education. After I started classes, I realized that I also came here to grow up and find out who I am. I was learning how to interact with people and how to develop study skills. I was in this setting where I was away from mom and dad, where I could figure out what I believe and who I want to hang out with.
Montreat has impacted me with all the great influences that I’ve encountered here, and the professors have taught me how to develop my critical-thinking skills. Now that I’m in the peak of my college career, I realize that I’m my own individual. I can make up my mind for myself, and Montreat played a huge role in that. Montreat is giving me a great education, but it also gives me a lot of great influences to help me become who I am today.
