The mission of the
Human Services program is to promote personal growth
academically, spiritually, physically, and socially
so that students may be well equipped to serve
others in churches, schools, and community and
social programs.
The major in Human Services
prepares students for working with the rapidly
changing structure of contemporary society. Specific
areas of study include human development, marriage
and family studies and therapy, counseling, human
sexuality, faith development, and social services.
This major blends theory in human development,
counseling, and social work, with supervised
off-campus field experience in a variety of human
service settings.
The student may choose either a Bachelor of Arts or
a Bachelor of Science degree. Study of a foreign
language is included in the Bachelor of Arts degree
program.
A minor in Human Services
is also available.
