Montreat College offers a Bachelor of Arts or Science in American Studies.
 

         

  

 

 
The American Studies major is an interdisciplinary program with courses in American literature, social institutions, economic development, religious life, political science, and other related areas.
 
As part of the program, students have the opportunity to do original research with specific facets of life in the United States, including its variety of subcultures.

        

 
 
Students graduating in American Studies are prepared for a range of careers or graduate study in law, criminology, ministry, history, sociology, and related areas.
