• Wilderness Education Association (WEA) – Outdoor Leader Certification
• Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and CPR Certifications

• Over 45 days of field-based Wilderness Leadership Training from a Christian worldview
• Attendance at a regional or national Outdoor Education conference
• Real-world experience providing outdoor programming for local youth agencies
• Small group living/learning community on the college's Black Mountain Campus

 Prerequisite Requirement for All Students:

• Completion of OE 180, 181 or 182 or comparable wilderness expedition

• Completion of OE 103, OE 104, OE 190, PE 220 (OE 340 and ES 201 - preferred)
• Sophomore - Senior Class Standing (preference given to Juniors and Seniors)

• If accepted, submit $600 non-refundable deposit
• $600 will be applied to the course fee for the program of $1,600
