Dr. Scott Foran Pens Published Poems

Two poems written by Dr. Scott Foran, Assistant Professor of English at Montreat College, have been recently published in literary journals. Published in Arboreal Literary Magazine, “kafka in the snow” reflects on the life of one of his favorite authors, Franz Kafka, while “walk in the rain,” featured in Euphony Journal, shares a personal experience about his son when he was two years old.

Suitable Honors Montreat 360 as Outstanding New Program

Montreat College was recognized with two esteemed awards at the Pathways 2023 Awards Ceremony held on July 26 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Hosted by Suitable, a student engagement software program, the ceremony honored Montreat College with the Outstanding New Program Award and the Best Marketing Strategy Award.

Long-Time Trustee Rev. Dr. Matthew McGowan Dies at 97

Rev. Dr. (Colonel) Matthew McGowan, trustee emeritus and a former chair of the Montreat College Board of Trustees, has passed away. He was 97. McGowan is the namesake for the McGowan Center for Christian Studies.
