Andrews Dalby '38
Mary and her cousin have produced a book
of letters that their great grandfather,
John Lee Holt, wrote to his wife while he
was a private in the Confederate Army.
The last letter was written from
Chambersburg, PA, on June 30, 1863.
Private Holt was killed in Pickett's
charge at Gettysburg. Copies of their
book are available for $23.35 from Mary
at 120 Keesling Ave., Salem, VA. |
