Montreat College recently introduced a new degree program, the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Religion – Preaching and Evangelism. It is designed for students who want to pursue an advanced degree or a career in church ministry.
The Preaching and Evangelism concentration features the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association School of Evangelism’s training curriculum, which helps prepare students to bring people to Christ and to have a positive impact within the Christian community. The program covers a wide variety of subject matter from the Old and New Testaments. Topics include:
- Biblical Interpretation
- Church History
- Biblical Preaching and Communication
- Preaching the Gospel
- Prayer and the Holy Spirit
- Discipleship and Lifestyle Evangelism
Designed to accommodate busy schedules
The Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Religion is an accelerated program designed for students who have to maintain work and family responsibilities. Students may choose to take courses on-campus and online. Classes meet only one night per week for five to six weeks.
In addition to a solid foundation in Biblical and Evangelical learning, the program is designed to prepare students to become leaders in their church ministries upon graduation.
