Montreat College Presents Dr. Don King as Commencement Speaker

Don KingDr. Don King, Professor of English at Montreat College, will be the featured speaker at Montreat’s Commencement exercises at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 10 in Anderson Auditorium.
 
On the faculty of Montreat College since 1974, Don W. King is professor of English, has published six books, and has served as the editor of the Christian Scholar’s Review since 1999.  Dr. King is an internationally recognized expert on the life and work of author C.S. Lewis; in addition to publishing numerous articles on Lewis, he has published two books on the author, “C.S. Lewis, Poet: The Legacy of His Poetic Impulse” and “Plain to the Inward Eye: Selected Essays on C.S. Lewis,” and is working on a third, “The Collected Poems of C.S. Lewis: A Critical Edition.”  Twice, he has led week-long seminars on Lewis at Lewis’s home, the Kilns, for the C.S. Lewis Foundation’s Summer Seminars in Residence program.  Dr. King is also the author of “Hunting the Unicorn: A Critical Biography of Ruth Pitter,” “Out of My Bone: The Letters of Joy Davidman,” “Silent Music: The Letters of Ruth Pitter,” and the editor of “Taking Every Thought Captive: Forty Years of the Christian Scholar’s Review.”
