On March 1, the Montreat College Board of Trustees announced the launch of a new search for Montreat College’s eighth president. The goal is to have a president in place by June 2014.
Presidential Search Committee includes alumni, trustees, faculty, students, staff, and community members. The search process will begin with a careful assessment of the college’s distinctive character, opportunities, and challenges to clarify the skills and perspectives that the next president will need. Seeking a collaborative process, the chair has invited all college constituencies to provide input and recommendations for the committee’s consideration.
To assist with the search, the College has hired CarterBaldwin, a nationally prominent executive search firm that fills senior level executive positions for academic, not-for-profit and corporate clients. Since its founding in 2001, the firm has grown in a measured trajectory and now sits in the top 1% of U.S. search firms by revenue. Headquartered in Atlanta, CarterBaldwin provides executive search services across the U.S. and in select global markets. With five partners and a dedicated, in-house team of research and recruiting consultants, CarterBaldwin works closely with academic and institutional clients to identify, attract and recruit executive candidates who will provide visionary leadership and build institutional culture in alignment with mission objectives.
