On May 2, 2013, Montreat College and Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College signed an articulation agreement that will enable new opportunities for partnership between the neighboring institutions. A-B Tech students in the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Fine Arts will have a seamless transfer of credits to Montreat College for completion of a bachelor’s degree.

The partnership between Montreat and A-B Tech will enhance and expand Montreat College’s participation as a signatory institution in the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement between the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities and the North Carolina Community College System.

“This is the first step in a robust partnership with A-B Tech,” said Jonathan Shores, vice president for marketing and enrollment at Montreat College. “Our leadership teams have identified a number of possibilities to open new opportunities for students in Western North Carolina. I look forward to seeing what unfolds.”
