On May 10, 2013, Montreat College will welcome Dr. Stephen Woodworth ‘99 as the Baccalaureate Service guest speaker. The third annual Baccalaureate Service begins at 7:30 p.m. in Gaither Chapel. The public is warmly invited to attend.

Having graduated from Montreat College with a B.S. in Outdoor Education (1999), Woodworth returned to Montreat College in 2003 to serve as the college chaplain and the pastoral ministries program director teaching in the areas of homiletics, hermeneutics, and New Testament.

Woodworth is married to his college sweetheart, Carrie, and they have three young boys: Luke, Andrew, and Zachary. In addition to making swords, forts, and bows and arrows, the Woodworth family spends much of their time hiking, biking, gardening, camping, and cheering for the New England Patriots. Woodworth completed his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is an ordained Teaching Elder in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).
