On January 24-26, Mr. Timothy Wilds, assistant professor of music, accompanied seven worship arts students to Grand Rapids, MI, for the annual Calvin Symposium on Worship at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. The event was sponsored by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, the Center for Excellence in Preaching, Calvin College, and Calvin Theological Seminary.

The symposium welcomed over 1500 attendees from 46 different states, over 30 countries, and over 125 schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries. Students participated in six worship services, two plenary addresses, a three-and-a-half-hour seminar, and six one-hour workshops. This is the second year in which Montreat students have attended the symposium and plans are in place to make it a yearly event.
