Cavalier Distance Running Camp 2010

Montreat College will be hosting its annual Distance Running Camp this summer. The camp will be held from July 9 to 14, 2012. Visit www.cavalierdistancecamp.com for registration information.

This residential camp will include clean, air-conditioned dorm rooms (double occupancy required in each room; bunk beds are provided) in Montreat College’s Davis Hall; three all-you-can-eat hot meals each day; the use of the high ropes and challenge course with professional facilitating instruction; and a gift bag with a camp t-shirt, Montreat College souvenir, and all lecture handouts and materials. 

Campers will also be given a gait analysis, conducted on a treadmill to confirm the proper running shoe needed to better enhance their performance and to stay injury-free.  The analysis will be performed by a certified pedorthist from FootRX of Asheville, NC.

The cost per camper is $450; coaches pay $350 but can attend for free with ten paid campers.  A $100 deposit is required within two weeks of registering to secure attendees’ spots.  The remaining balance is due at check-in.
