Eunice Wonderly Stackhouse, Associate Professor of Music and Chair of the Fine Arts Department at Montreat College, holds graduate degrees in piano performance from Indiana University (M.M.) and the University of Kansas (D.M.A.), and a B.M.E. degree from Grace College.

Dr. Stackhouse has performed extensively in both solo and chamber recital settings, and adjudicates frequently for many organizations.


She has presented lecture-recitals at several conferences, including the Twenty-Fourth National Conference of The Society for American Music, and the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the College Music Society. Her solo piano recitals have been recorded and broadcast by WQED-Pittsburgh and Radio Kansas.

She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, Music Teachers National Association, NCMTA, and CMS. She currently serves on the Board of the North Carolina Chapter of MTNA as a Vice President.  Her biography has recently been selected for inclusion in the 59th ed. of Marquis' Who's Who in America, and in the 8th ed. of Who's Who Among America's Teachers.

Her dissertation on the piano music of Louise Talma was published by University Microfilms Inc. (#9540200) in 1996.   Her article entitled "Childhood Scenes and Memories in Louise Talma's Soundshots"  was published in the November 2002 issue of Clavier Magazine, and her photo appears on the cover of the March 2003 issue of ClavierShe has also recently written the introductions for two Talma publications by Hildegard Publishing Co.:  a reprint of the twenty Soundshots, and Three Bagatelles, which she edited from the unpublished manuscript for its first printing.
