The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English expands
the core of a liberal arts education by offering students:
1. A broad exposure to significant literary texts, and
2. Enhancement of writing and other communication skills.
Undergirding these studies is the union of Christian faith
and intellect as a foundation on which graduates may build
meaningful lives of service.

Students majoring in English may look
forward to careers in business, education, journalism, technical
writing, public relations, and the ministry.
In addition, students
interested in graduate school in the areas of creative writing,
communication, journalism, law, literature, media production, and
theatre—as well as those who plan to go to seminary—should
consider a major in English.
