Since graduating from Montreat, Preston and Glenda Parrish have worked vocationally to spread the Gospel for nearly four decades, spending much of that time in key leadership roles with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse. God has also blessed them with four children. In 2006, their third child, Nathan, died in a rock climbing fall at age 25, just one day after they buried Preston’s father. Out of that experience they coauthored the book Finding Hope in Times of Grief, which was published in 2011 by Harvest House. Preston previously published Windows into the Heart of God: 31 Life-Changing Glimpses of Jesus with Harvest House in 2007. Glenda regularly ministers to younger mothers, helping them through Bible teaching to tap into the riches of God’s Word for their daily lives.
“God used Montreat to grow us toward maturity as followers of Christ, and toward a greater understanding of what He’s doing in the world, and of our place in His plans. We will be forever grateful for all the ways we encountered Him there—through the staff and faculty, in our studies, and through the rich Christian fellowship that Montreat provided us.”
