We give you options right from the start—even with orientation. Every incoming student participates in our traditional Welcome Week orientation, but you can choose to add Outdoor Orientation if you’re ready for a backwoods adventure.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is a special time. Everything else is set aside while you immerse yourself in campus life and get to know your classmates. Led by staff and upperclassmen, Welcome Week activities include field trips, games, and service projects. You’ll learn about campus and the surrounding areas so you’re settled in and ready to go when classes begin. We think it’s critical for the success of your transition, so we require that every incoming student participate—including transfer and international students.
