Here is a listing of positions currently available as a part of the student work program. Just click on the link for full description and contact the Supervisor to inquire about positions available.   

Black Mountain Primary School Reading Tutor- Montreat, NC – Student will serve as an assistant to teachers in a classroom setting by helping students with reading needs. Assistance involves reading to students, helping students with their reading struggles, and listening to students read. Some activities may be on an individual basis or in a group setting.

Student Activities - Montreat, NC – Student will work with the Direct of Student Engagement to organize, set up, run, and tear down Student Activities Events. Student will be actively engaged with Technology, the Leadership Team, and the Volunteer Committee.

Calling and Career Services Office AssistantCalling and Career- Montreat, NC – Student will assist with creating advertising for services and events, creating online surveys, and hosting Calling and Career Services events.

Outdoor Education Gear Room Manager – Immersion Program Assistant- Montreat, NC – Works closely with the Outdoor Education Faculty and assists with general administrative procedures as necessary.

Residental Line Server - Montreat, NC - The residential line server position is vital to achieving excellent customer service in dining locations. The residential line servers are responsible for the line display, cooking food according to recipes, and making one-on-one connection with the customer. 

Theatre Assistant - Montreat, NC – The theater assistant will be responsible for theater production and management, along with assistant throughout the Fine Arts Department.

Biology Assistant - Montreat, NC – The biology assistant will serve as a teacher assistant to the Biology Lab professor. Tasks include assisting with lab prep, grading and attendance records, reproduction of lab materials, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Assistant Admissions Specialist - Montreat, NC – Student will assist the Admissions Team in student recruitment and serve as primary point of contact for prospective students.

Student Services Assistant – Montreat, NC – Student will assist in chapel/convo attendance, making and maintaining student files, spreadsheets for student data, assist with campus publicity, run errands, pick up mail, additional duties as assigned by Administrative Assistant for Student Services, Associate Dean of Students or Associate Dean for Residence Life.

Library Assistant — Montreat, NC — The library assistant is responsible for providing quality customer service for library patrons, checking out books students, re-shelving, and any other duties assigned by the library director.

Psychology and Human Services Assistant - Montreat, NC – Student will assist with research, grading tests, and making copies for Dr. Gregg Blanton.
Service and Learning - Montreat, NC – Students will work with the Service Director and the Service Learning Team to develop service opportunities, assist with planning, promotion, and execution of service projects, and work with local non-profit organizations. 

Natural Sciences Laboratory Assistant - Montreat, NC – Student will be responsible for assisting in general services of the science laboratory – Biology Major preferred. 

Business Department Assistant - Montreat, NC – Student will work with faculty on a departmental marketing campaign involving social media, letters, and other marketing efforts. 

 Belk Monitor - Montreat, NC – This position will check out Billiard and Ping Pong Equipment and monitor the cleanliness and up-keep of Lower Belk

Bookstore/ Document Center - Montreat, NC - Student will be responsible for assisting manager with daily responsibilities in both the Montreat College Bookstore and Document Center
