Caitlin Foreman ’08 - Enrollment Coordinator

Caitlin is responsible for a variety of recruitment duties as well as technological tasks. She is a 2008 Montreat graduate, and Montreat is very tightly woven into her story. Her parents were married in Montreat in the 70s, and Caitlin also met her husband of five years, Jeremy, during her first semester at Montreat College. Having been abroad for an incredible year in Edinburgh, Scotland attaining her Master’s degree in Highland Studies, she is happy to be home in the Carolina mountains. Caitlin enjoys spending her time with her husband, Jeremy, their newborn daughter, and spaniel, Cael. She is a folklore enthusiast, a fiddle playing novice, an avid reader and writer, as well as a runner, hiker, seamstress, and photographer.

Jessica Cannon - Senior Admissions Specialist

Jessica previously attended Jefferson Davis Community College and just started at Montreat last fall. She recruits for the bachelor and master degree programs at the Asheville and Charlotte campuses as well as online. During her spare time, she spends as much of it as she can outdoors, enjoying all that the Asheville area has to offer, such as kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, and yoga. She also enjoys participating in church activities, making handmade jewelry, traveling, and spending time with her beautiful daughter, fiancée, and dog, Rocky.

John Duncan - Admissions Specialist

John earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Studies with a minor in Economics from UNC-Asheville. He is responsible for recruiting students for the associate of science degree program at the Asheville and Charlotte campuses as well as online. In his free time, John is an avid bluegrass musician, playing fiddle and mandolin with local area bands, Buncombe Turnpike, Blue Wheel Drive, and The Rounders.

Lyndsey Parham - Admissions Specialist

Lyndsey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in English from UNC-Greensboro. Hailing from Asheville, Lyndsey most recently took a five-year hiatus to the Lone Star state of Texas. There, she taught Outdoor Education at a non-denominational Christian camp, became a chips and salsa aficionado, and learned the value of a good cup of coffee. Lyndsey is happy to be back in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She enjoys spending her time with a chocolate lab named Riley, traveling abroad, and can be seen on the ESPN SportsCenter highlight reel, playing city-league volleyball.

Cassie Schmitt - Admissions Specialist

Cassie earned a bachelor’s of science in psychology with a minor in religion from Western Carolina University and she is currently working toward her master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Montreat. She recruits for both the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Asheville and Charlotte campuses. Cassie is originally from New Jersey but fell in love with the Carolina mountains. In her free time, she enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail, rafting the Pigeon River, and participating in local missions.

Patty Thompson - Community College Liaison

Patty earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University and her Master’s from George Washington University. With a background in travel industry management, she spent 11 years teaching and performing research on tourism development within the University of Hawaii System. A newcomer to North Carolina, Patty lives in Hickory with her husband Steve. If not gardening or traveling, you will find Patty playing “Number One Farm Hand” to her husband on their North Carolina Century farm where they tend to the needs of ten cows, two barnyard cats and a seasonal barnyard guest, a Muscovy duck.
